The 2021 Alps Adria Academy Conference on Dementia is the 2nd in row in a planed conference series as part of the MiRi initiative to link policy and economy with sustainable mobility for all, physical and mental health, and sport. The main objective of this conference is to enhance and facilitate research, technological-, design- and social innovations including the management for dementia prevention, intervention and care.
We organise this conference to the memory of the former police officer and volleyball player Janko Rajnar as part of the international charity volleyball tournament – Janko’s memorial. Not only therefore we are more than interested to put exercise and physical activity at the heart of the “potential brain mechanisms for preventive strategies in dementia”.*
We need more research and better understanding of best practices relative to technological interventions, non-pharmacological- and pharmacological treatment for dementia care and prevention. Conference is designed to develop the careers of the participants. We provide a unique convergence of networking, learning, inspiring keynote speeches, discussions, industry-academia conversations, plenary sessions, and workshop tracks along with publication opportunities.
